Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

Noise dispute

I stay in a condominium/apartment complex. My neighbor and I share a bedroom wall and is complaining about the bass from my music carring over to their unit. I have talked to the building manager and supervisor and there's nothing they can do because we own our units. I had tried to compromise with them but foresee that it may become a problem in the future! What can I do to avoid any legal actions or a noise violation complaint?

Re: Noise dispute

It is hard to say. I would need to see your Master Deed and the Condo. by-laws. Otherwise, there may not be anything you can do proactively. You may have to wait and see what the condo association does. I would be happy to review the above docs. with you. Please call at (248)851-3171.

Re: Noise dispute

Listen to music without much bass. You could be sued for a nuisance.
