Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

property w/ cabin

If you owen joint property between 4 people and 2 have passed away, ( not saying to the servivor.) then no 3 person dies , leaving a will, with/ saying no property to be divided and has other things divided.such as money and car. I went to the court house and they said it has to go to probate and open a can of worms. Is there anything that can be done and if i do nothing , what will my kids have to do when i pass on?

I have paid all the taxes for at least 5 yrs. But they say i cant add anybody to the deed. i took them the death sertificate. There advice is to just use the property , untill i pass away. Do i have any other choice?
