Based upon your questions it appears as if you are buying a house on land contract and the Seller either sold or assigned their interest to a third party and that new third party is attempting to change certain aspects of the land contract. The most important thing is the language of the land contract itself. Does it allow for the Seller to sell or assign its interest? Does it allow for the terms of the land contract to be amended at any time? I would be glad to take a look at the land contract and advise you what your possible options are.
