Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

What do I need to start a rental property

I have a question about starting a rental property. I have had my house for sale for over a year now, with no muhc luck. I was thinking of turning into a rental property. My question is, how would I do this? Is there something I need to do with the city I live in? I don't need help finding occupants, but I need to know what legal requirements need to be filed for this to be done. Please help!

To do this properly and legally, you need to check with the local government(city, township, etc.) and find out if a permit/license is needed. An inspection may be necessary. Some jurisdictions require a Certificate of Occupancy. For more info., please contact my office at the number listed on the lawguru website.
