Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Michigan

Quite Title

I have been paying the taxes and doing all of the up keep on a summer home in my father and step mothers name for 20 years.because I was told it would be mine one day now my step mother wants me to buy it for fair market vaule. What is a quite title and do I have any rights?

Assuming you have a written contract for the purchase or some written promise to deed it to you, you are all set. Without a writing, you are probably out of luck under the Statute of Frauds.
