Re: Consent Laws

If you were 16 or older when you had sex, then no crime was committed and your father's attempts to press charges will not result in anything.

Re: Consent Laws

What do you know about your boyfriend?

Are you sure he's 23?

Would you be comfortable with your teenage daughter "dating" him?

Does he have a job?....a criminal record?...a child? ....a drug habit?...an STD?

Does he still live with his mother?...or ex?

Did you have sex with him before you turned 16? (If this can be proved, he's looking at a 15 year felony even though it's VERY OLD).

Has he ever given you alcohol (a misdemeanor), drugs, (a felony) or had sex with you when you were drunk or drugged? (another felony).

Will he support you if he gets you pregnant?

Has he ever hit you?

What happened to his last girlfriend?

These are all questions Dad's ask because they don't want their broken-hearted daughters coming back home with another child to raise.

If he had pre-16 sex with you and your Dad knows it. All it takes is a phone call and your boyfriend's life can be ruined for the next 25 years.
