Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Michigan

Sexual harassment in the workplace.

I recently experienced an ongoing problem in my workplace. I am a waitress and i have repetedly dealt with the cooks calling me things such as ''babe'', ''sexy'' and when i tell them to call me by my name, or not to speak to me that way, they persist. Not only that they will finish up by calling me a slut or a bitch. There have been numerous other incidents where i have been asked uncomfortable questions such as ''why didn't you call me last night? We were suppose to get it on.'' In all of these instances i have asked them to stop and they persist.

is this sexual harassment?

Re: Sexual harassment in the workplace.

You have to to take the issue up with management and demand intervention. Keep a detailed diary of what you requested and the dates, etc. Whether you have a case depends on whether management intervenes in your behalf. Bill Stern
