Legal Question in Traffic Law in Michigan

auto accident

About a year and a half ago I was in a auto accident involving a public transportation vechile. My truck was destroyed. My brother who was on the passanger side was okay besides back problems.I was somewhat badly injured,I had 20 stitches above my eye and 10 staples in the back of my head and still to this day the scare above my eye is still visable.Neither one of us got a ticket because we both had witness on both sides, which I had more people saying I had the right away my best witness was right behind me, and his witness were in the vechile he was driving so that was never determined, but I know he ran the red light. The only problem I am having is at the time I did not have a licence.I am wondering if it is to late for a case or should I just give up??
