Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

My mother passed away in October 2014 and i found out that she has a group annuity through her work, �in her will it states that i am the beneficiary of her entire estate. Is her annuity concidered to be part of her estate?

It depends on who the beneficiary is on the annuity. If it's you, you just collect it with a death certificate. If no one, then probate of her will is needed to obtain the asset.
