Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

probate deadline?

my stepfather passed away in 1997.he left everything to my half brother.my half brother has not probated the will or do any of the things required by the state.i was deliberately cut out of the will.

do i have a chance of successfully contesting the will???

If you were deliberately excluded from inheriting any of your father's property, and that has been made apparent, you probably stand no chance of successfully contesting the will. If you brother has not opened a probate estate, maybe there is no probate estate. You may want to consult with an attorney who can review the relevant documents.
