Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

successor trustee

Mom died 2 years ago. Dad remarried within one year. Received letter today from dad with ''Declination to act as successor trustee'' form. Apparently I was named successor trustee of mom's living trust, but have never seen any paperwork. What are my rights?
