Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

domestic

my brother in law was put in jail last friday. bailed out on monday. has some charges against him. his wife is going to file for divorce. should he continue to make house pmts.? can he stop making them? how can he go about seeing his son in the mean time until he gets divorce papers? there is a no contact order with his wife? any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks...

For now he should make the house payments. It is still his house until the issue of what to do with the home is dealt with in the divorce. As for his son, that is more difficult. If his wife won't agree to let him visit his dad, then your brother-in-law will need to ask a judge to order visits. We offer a free initial consultation.
