Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Minnesota

Applicant did not pay, can co-applicant sue?

I signed as a co-applicant for my ex's Bally Fitness account. She stopped paying after we broke up. Now it's on my credit. I have contacted her by phone numerous times and she's agreed to take care of it, but obviously has not. The amount is growing monthly with interest. I want to get this bill paid so that it's not hurting my credit. I'd like to have a home in a year or two.

Ex-what? Girlfriend or Wife? Any written agreement re:debt?

How much is at stake?

I would send written demand certified mail (with a CC to your attorney) and a short deadline, then take it to court.
