Legal Question in Criminal Law in Minnesota

Cases being open

My boyfriend was convicted of having one photo of child pornography, which I know he didn't do on purpose. He is now sentenced to treatment where he admitted that he touched a girl when he was fifteen. The councilor reported him to the cops and now he is afraid that they are going to be charged with this. Now with Minnesota's zero tolerance on sex offenders this would send him to jail for life. Well the question is how long will the case be open if he told the counciler a year ago and what are the chances he will go to jail for life and where can we find out to see if the case is still open. I know this seems like a lot but I am really scared. Let me know if you need more info?

Your boyfriend needs to speak with a criminal lawyer as soon as possible. Until he has retained a lawyer, he should decline any further discussion with law enfocement (or anyone else) about this matter.

Feel free to contact me (or any other criminal defense lawyer onhere) for a consultation.
