Slight Nudity at School

During the summer, my boyfriend and I were both in extracurricular activities. One night, both of our groups got back late and we decided to go to a secluded spot in our public high school and make out. The entire school was almost empty and there was no one in our part. My(female) chest may have been exposed to a security camera as well as his butt. This was two months ago and we haven't received any message that we are in trouble. It was dim and we were a distance from the camera, but it might have caught the nudity.Would we be able to be charged with anything, and how severe would the penalties be?

It is difficult to predict the future, or what could happen. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." Obviously, avoid doing that again!

In the meantime, a few issues come to mind, the ages of the two could be important. Often it is difficult to identify a person just from a video image, though other data might be available to help identify. If you are questioned about it, since it could result in criminal prosecution, do not say anything about it to anyone but a lawyer (even by email or over the web!). Do not answer questions. Do not admit you or boyfreind are in the video. Do not lie, just don't say anything. Silence.

Generally, the more time that goes by, the less likely anything will come of it.

The answer depends on your ages. If one of you was over the age of 16 and the other younger, it could be evidence of crimianl sexual conduct. However, much more evidence would be needed.

It could certainly be a violation of state or city ordinance for indecent exposure under 617.23 located online at revisor.leg.state.mn.us/bin/getpub.php?type=s&num=617.23&year=2007. However, if not observed by another, that seems unlikely.

In other words, you are probably okay, but I would not suggest a repeat performance.
