Legal Question in DUI Law in Minnesota

Underage Consumption Ticket Contains Wrong Info

So I was recently cited for an underage consumption. But on the ticket where the officer is supposed to list the statute ordinance... they wrote ''8-37'' when it is supposed to read ''8-27''. Anyway I could get out of this??

The sort of error you refer to never makes any difference. You have to deal with the charges - and this is the sort of thing you should never try to deal with on your own without a lawyer.

The prosecutor can generally amend the criminal charge(s) at least until the trial begins.

But, yes, it is possible you could get the charge(s) dismissed or be acquitted (on other grounds). It is highly unlikely that will ever happen unless you have a good defense lawyer helping you, and are willing to fight to win. Good luck.
