Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

i have a 16yr old son I have never seen, the mother denied me the rights because I was just released from prison, now I lost my job.. and she took me to court for more money and won. how does this work???? I shouldnt have to pay if I cant see the child? how fair is this?

Child support and parenting time issues are separate. The fact that you do not see the child does not makje you less financially responsible. If you wish to establish parenting time, you can't just sit around and hope for it,. You must file an action in court to establish it.
