Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

If your current wife becomes engaged before the final divorce proceedings, does this make all legal procedures null and void ? In other words , her demand was to take a large portion of my pension. She did get married and the divorce was finalized.

Thanks!!!

Your post is somewhat unclear. A person becoming engaged to another prior to finalization of divorce would not nullify a divorce. I suggest you confer privately with an experienced family law attorney so she can advise you as to your concerns. Tricia Dwyer Esq. phone 612-296-9666 Minnesota Divorce Attorney

No. Becoming engaged violates no law.
