Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

We are looking at getting divorce. Married in November 2014, live in Minnesota. We each have children form other marriages. No children together. Spouse does not get along with my children; they stress her out by annoying to her.

Can I get a divorce with less than 1 year of marriage?

What are the financial obligations for me if I depart with my kids and via versa? We have investment prior to marriage and bringing in.

Do I need to support the other half if we need to separate?

How long does the process take if there is very little contesting?

Hello. I suggest you have a consultation with a well experienced attorney at this time so she can assist you in light of the full facts. Attorneys here are not to solicit clients. Obviously your issues and concerns are ones of money matters. There is a residency requirement to divorce, etc., but not a 'length of marriage' rule of any sort. Time to completion varies - your attorney will describe the factors/variables to you.

All the best.
