Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

I'm going to marry this man, he had two kids with different moms. I have my own children, but make 4+ times more than him, his child support is in some arrears.. but my question is will the court consider my income, since I have my own 4 kids to care for. I don't want to pay for his kids when I have my own. I understand I can find for an injured suppose form for taxes. (Minnesota)

You directly would not pay child support ('CS') for some other person's children. Generally, no, a 'new' spouse's income is not 'tallied' into child support for the payor-spouse: However, with limited exception, a spouse's income may be a consideration to the other parent's CS obligation.

Your income cannot be included as a basis for child support under the guidelines. If your concerns is a tax intercept on joint taxes for arrears, that could certainly occur and you would have to file and demonstrate that he refund was predominately attributable to you or, you can change your deductions so there is no refund.
