Question about child support

I recently have been diagnosed with Bi-polar disorder, I need to go into fulltime treatment to help me, the one problem is I pay out child support. I will not be getting an income while in treatment, what are my options?

Re: Question about child support

Your option is to go to court to request a reduction of your child support. However, if the reduction will be for a short time, I'm not confident the court will grant it. You would appear before a magistrate.

You don't need to have an attorney. The court administrator of your county has forms that you can fill out to give to the judge and to the mother of your child.

Good luck~!
