Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

I am a single mom with a 3 year old son, my son's father has a no contact order so he can't see us for at least a year. He is still on probation but won't be soon. He has been abusive and just a very bad person and I do not want him to be in my son's life, he would hurt him and be very bad for his life. I don't know what I can do to keep him out of my son's life. I understand that father's have rights but he is dangerous.

If the parent seeks to establish custody and parenting time, you should retain counsel. A court makes decisoins related to visitation based on what it deems is in the child's best interests. If you believe that the person is a danger to the child, you must acquire evidence of that fact and present it effectively as part of your case.
