Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

Teenagers ages 15 and 17 broke the 50/50 custody arrangement ordered by the court by refusing to return and live with the other parent. There is an old court order stating which school they should attend which is not in the school district where they live now. Can they register and attend the school in their district or does the school have to follow the old court order? They live in Minnesota.

Minor children presumably would not be violative of a custody order as it is the adults, the parents, who would be subject to the order. If you face such an issue, I urge you to confer privately with an experienced family law attorney so she may assist you at this time. With the relatively older ages of the kids, your attorney should have a special concern for cost effectiveness as she provides you with legal asssttance and counsel.
