If a potential employer requests information relating to your criminal background it is in your best interest to properly disclose it. If you do not and the employer finds out your employment will probably be terminated for cause. There is no period of time that allows you to truthfully deny that you were convicted of the crime. Depending on various factors you may be eligible for an expungement late next year.
