Can I be sued for punitive damages for things I haven't been convicted of yet?

Quite possibly. If your actions were criminal, but you have civil liability for them, you can be sued even if the criminal case has not gone to trial.

Most experienced attorneys will wait for the criminal conviction, so their case will be easier to prove.

Call or email for further assistance and no charge initial consultation.

I have 33 years LL/Tenant experience.
