Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Minnesota

I live in a rented condo with roomates, I was approached by a less fortunate friend who needed a place to stay. She had no job and didnt pay rent. About 3 months ago she said she was moving out and refused to take the majority of her belongings with her. Even when i asked to ship it, she refused. She wont answer my calls or emails, i honestly dont think i will ever see her again. Can i get rid of her things as they are talking up an entire closet of space? What are the laws involved in this?

You cannot get rid of her things without facing potential civil litigation. You must server her Notice that you consider the property abandoned if it is not retrieved within thirty (30) days. Retain proff of the notice. Only then may you dispose of the items.
