Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Minnesota
My mother-in-law has $75,000.00 cash between checking, savings and a CD. If she turns the money over to her kids and she then goes into a nursing home, do they need to pay it back? Also, if she were to put the money in joint tenancy, would it be subject to nursing home assets?
