Divorce papers wrong

I am recently divorced and my ex-husband and I did not contest, but the attorney he hired to do the paperwork, filed the wrong papers. Please tell me what I can do to fix this. There are many discrepencies and I did not sign these papers.

Re: Divorce papers wrong

Possibly, fault based papers were filed intentionally by your husband and he is sandbagging you. You can hire your own attorney, represent yourself, or persuade your husband to make the desired changes. If a fault based divorce has been served, the defendant has 30 days after service of the papers to serve a formal answer. If no formal answer is served, the husband can then go forward to prove his fault based divorce and obtain whatever division of property and other relief which he may persuade the chancellor to believe is fair and equitable. All this can happen without any notice of hearing to the defendant.
