Legal Question in Family Law in Mississippi

Can I terminate a guardianship

Can I pettion the court myself to terminate a guardianship? Can some one tell me where I can get the forms to get started? I was quoted 2500 to retain a lawyer. I don't have that kind of money. I thought maybe I can start the paperwork then hire a lawyer when I do so? Do I sound crazy to thing I can manage that? I live in Illinois but the guardianship was ordered in Rankin County MS.

If the guardianship was ordered in MS, then you will likely have to go to MS. Why would you assume IL has jurisdiction now? Has all the parties moved to IL? As to getting an attorney, it is not that you cannot file certain actions without an attorney, its just a matter of whether you are likely to succeed.
