Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Mississippi

Heirship ???

Birth father died 1 yr. Absent/no-involvement father since childhood after Mom/He divorced.

Children/wife(?)from his remarriage(s) never included/contacted me concerning probate.

?? MS.law on estate with biological children.

?? my course of legal action.

Under Texas law, the child is an heir at law, and is entitled to their intestate (no will) portion unless specifically mentioned in the decedent's will. Presumably, MS law is similar.

Course of legal action: Contact an MS probate lawyer in the county where the decedent died, ASAP. It may cost a little to find out whether there's enough in the estate to warrant further legal action.

Mississippi law is similar to Texas law on this. I agree with Mr. Bradie.
