Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Missouri

I ran a daycare in my home where an infant passed away. They didn't rule it as SIDS but as an "accidental suffocation." I am no long doing the business. And recently was divorced. Now I'm making minimum wage, living with relatives and raising two children. Our homeowners may not cover the claim due to policy limits on the number of children allowed. If the mother sues me, what can she get? I have absolutely nothing.

If she sues you, and gets a judgment, she may be able to garnish some of your wages, and bank accounts. The judgment will only be effective for ten years, unless she renews it. Although they may not cover the claim, your homeowner's policy will probably provide a defense attorney for you.

Good luck
