Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

I received a summons to show up in court. I showed up but the case was not called. upon inquiry i found that the plaintiff had rescheduled the hearing with no notification given to me. The reason is because they say I had not been served although the court documents show I was served. Is this legal and do I have any options or are they able to reschedule at will?

Make sure that the judge noted that you appeared. If the case is against you, you might be able to have it dismissed. . Perhaps you (or your attorney) should contact that attorney, and tell them that you want something for your trouble. Don't contact the attorney until you've spoken with any attorney in your area. You need specific advice as to this particular case. Here, you've just gotten general information based upon your general description if the situation. Get specific advice., based upon the the specific facts.

Good luck
