Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

I'm going to assume it's illegal for me to carry a collapsible baton in my car. Back in 1978 I was arrested for a felony of grand theft. 4 years probation. Nothing since then. I had a legal aide in Ca. get it expunged. But they wouldn't drop it to a misdeamenor first so I could get my second amendment rights back. He said try again in 2 years which is soon. So in Mo can I legally carry a baton in my car either out in the open or concealed. I don't want to carry it on me just in my corvette.

Your posting is a but confusing. If your conviction was expunged, you're not a convicted felon. . it isn't clear why one would need to carry a collapsible Baton in their car. But, if it classified as a weapon, it is like any other nonfirearm weapon. If your previous conviction was truly expunged, than you're subject to the same restrictions as anyone not ever convicted of a felony. Perhaps, you should consult directly with a criminal defense attorney, in your area, to see what your status is. Do this before you possess any weapons.

Good luck
