Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

How many days in advance is an attorney supposed to notify you to appear in court and can they do this by phone or do they have to provide a more formal manner?

If you are the client of a criminal defense attorney, they are supposed to give you as much prior notice as is needed. And they could probably do it by whatever means are effective under the circumstances.If you're a witness being served a subpeona, they are to give at least five days notice, unless there are exigent circumstances that make that impracticable. These are usually find through a written document served by a deputy, it process server. But, can be done by mail in some situations.That kind of covers the notices that an attorney would give in a criminal case. Civil cases are different. But, you asked about criminal cases.
