Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My ex husband isn't maintaining a relationship with our kids. They haven't seen him in 3 years. He's suppose to Skype with them and never has, never calls, and texts maybe 3 or 4 times a mth. What can we do? -missouri

Figure out if it's you or the kids he is avoiding. If it's you, find a trusted adultnthat can facilitate interaction between father and kids. But, if he is providing the Ordered support, and has not mandated visit at times, there may be little to force him to interact. If he isn't taking care of the kids during his visitation times, you may be able to ask the Judge to hold him in cintempt, and order that you be compensated for the extra expense of funding child care during his times.. That. (Knowing they'll have to pay $100+ per day) might motivate summer Dad's to have the kids when it is his time.
