Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

hello

i was skateing home on night and hit a rock on a side walk infront of a business and fell into their window and it broke i got up and left thinking i was seriously hurt well the next day all i had was a cut on my back and i think i had a concusion i went to the police station and turned myself in well now i am being told that the insurance company isnt taking me to court it is the police officer that took care of the case they are also trying to charge me for imaginary things and i offered to pay for the window well sence i fell on something in front of their business can i counter sue them and more than likey them drop everything i am not from the state of missouri i am going back home to california soon and im not sure what to do

I would strongly suggest that you consult with a criminal law attorney and a personal injury attorney. It sounds like you need to have an attorney speak with the police and make sure that no criminal charges will be brought against you. If criminal charges are brought against you, you may have a very good defense if you did not intend to damage the window.

You should also consult with a personal injury attorney to determine whether you have a claim against the store.
