Legal Question in Employment Law in Missouri

Employment law

I recently applied for job and information on my application was given out to several associates at that company. They individual called their friends who work at my job and gave them the information. They were not calling for an reference check and were not suppose to even have seen the application. What options do i have against this company giving out confidential information?

Re: Employment law

It appears that you may have been the victim of alieanation of privacy or other tortious behavior. If the information was purposefully or negligently diseminated to the non-essential person(s), alters the case you may have. Hopefully there are no further dispersals going on. If so, make sure you bring it to the attention of the potential employer at the highest level you can reach. If they have notice of the information leak and then it continues, that boosts your claim.

I am sorry to hear that this happened to you.

Good Luck
