Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

My husband and I signed a lease on a Missouri apartment yesterday, but are having second thoughts about the unit. We were never given a copy of our lease agreement. Would we be able to back out now and only forfeit our deposit, or would the leasing company be within their rights to hold us responsible for the entirety of the lease?

If you have not received a key, or moved in, you might be able to get your entire deposit back. Otherwise, you will likely be liable for damages, that the landlord suffers, based upon the trends of the written lease agreement. It has been several days since you signed the lease. Their, you should consult directly with a civil practice attorney in your area.IP. Let them read your lease agreement, and advise you as to your likely liability for early termination.

Good luck
