Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

I live in Missouri. My property consists of two lots . Front lot has house , detached garage , and driveway . Access to back lot was thru adjacent property. Recent development and street construction removed the curb cut to the drive on adjacent property , therefore prohibiting access to my back lot . This access has been is use since my house was built in 1960 . I have been using this access since 1990 . If it has any relevance to the situation , my wife is the granddaughter of the owner of all parcels that border access drive in 1960

If your two lots are cinnected, you probably don't have an easement by neccesity. Unless you have a cintract for use if the sdjoining property, you might have to create access through your front lit. If your lots are not connected, you might have a clain.

Good luck
