Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Missouri

Will/Power of Attorney

My father is 87 and is in the mid to later stages of alzheimers, he has always steadfastly refused to sign a Will or Power of Attorney (Bad luck) and living at home alone. My sisters and I are trying to find an avenue that we can use in order to insure that he is taken care of. He refuses also to go into any kind of home or even let somebody (Nurse or caregiver) come to his house. Is there anything we can do or are we the ones who ended up with the bad luck?

Re: Will/Power of Attorney

If you father gets to a point where he can no longer look out for himself. You can Petition to have the probate court place a guardianship and or conservatorship established for him. ou will need to have adoctor's report and probably have them testify at a hearing. If your father resides in the western third of the state, I may be able to assist you.

Good Luck
