Re: neck injury

Under the Missouri Workers' Compensation law, the compensation for an injury depends on the workers' pre-injury wage and the extent of the permanent industrial disability that rating doctors believe you have. The necessity of any additional medical treatment, including potential surgery, will also factor into that equation. Consult an experienced workers' compensation attorney.

Re: neck injury

With injuries this serious there is no doubt whatsoever that you should have an attorney represent you. The statistics have been published for 2006 showing how much the insurance companies pay to injured persons who are unrepresented as opposed to what they wind up paying those individuals who hire an attorney. If you did not know already, most worker's compensation attorneys will take a case under a contingency fee contract which provides for the attorney to take 25% of the PPD settlement or other recovery as the attorney's fees, and those fees do not go to the attorney until the case is finalized. You do not pay anything out of pocket in most cases. Please make the wise choice and hire an attorney. If you do not already have an attorney you may call me and I will refer you to one of the very best worker's compensation attorneys in the State of Missouri. No matter what you decide to do, or who you decide to hire, I wish you the very best recovery from your injuries and the very best compensation you can obtain!
