Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Nebraska

Can Finance Co legally add charges to make my house payment increase now th

My husband and I are coming close to completing bankruptcy procedures. Since we have gone to the first hearing the company financing our home has started adding all kinds of charges and even an extra house payment on the statement that arrived today. This last statement claims that my last payment was late. I mailed the payment to arrive well within the 14 day grace period allowed. The finance company charged me $66.00 late charge, and is charging me for two house payments. The statement I received month before last said that I owed them over $1000.00 for my monthly payment. My normal house payment is $668.00. Can the finance company legally change my monthly payment without notice? I am totally confused and very worried that they are trying to take my home away from me. In the future I am going to send my payments registered mail so I know the day they are received.

Hopefully, you have legal counsel who filed your Petition. . .this kind of thing can be addressed by that counsel. . .or your bankruptcy trustee; if you have proposed a payment plan thru your bankruptcy, it is possible that the payments are slow getting thru. Nonetheless, you need to advise both your counsel and the trustee of what is happening.
