Legal Question in Business Law in Nevada

breah of contract or promise

I enterred into an agreement with a mining llc(formed in Nevada) with 2 partners the laws of the state of Ca were to be observed as well as tose of Nv wrt the LLC. The effort failed before the 4 yr contract had expired by chicanery from the secondary partner. The primary in the LLC made all of us(4) an offer(we were willing to litigate if he was,he chose the following instead)this offer was that he was to pay each of us back our principal along with 10%/yr in the form of rough ,wholesale valued gem stock. This fellow has made 2 payments worth about $500 each to each of 2 of us. He no longer responds to phone or email queries . Can I get a lien and serve it to him? I visualize that at the next event in which he is selling gem stock that i appear along with the appropriate paper and a marshall and take into my custody what gem stock that he has with him up to my full principal plus the 10%/yr promised.

Re: breah of contract or promise

There is a possibility you can get the court to issue a prejudgment writ of attachment, which would act much like a lien. Such effort would necessarily require the filing of a suit for breach of contract and related claims, assuming this party isn't willing to cooperate.
