Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Nevada

Nevada NRS 21.075

I have been paying Ameridebt for 2 years and haven't seen much reduction in my bills (aside from paying them over $800 for using them)Unfortunately my bills were maintly for prescriptions and sometimes food or other medical costs. I have had heart surgery and have to take even more medications and it is getting harder. I have been advised I should use NRS 21.075 to ease my situation. Is this legal? And should I do it?

What you seem to be talking about is the various exemptions in 21.075 from creditor execution. Well, yes, if a creditor gets a judgment against you the various things in 21.075 cannot be taken from you to satisfy that judgment. Should you allow a creditor to get a judgment against you? Should you declare bankruptcy? Maybe, but I cannot give that sort of advice in this forum, for that sort of advice I suggest you consult with an attorney and/or a financial advisor. I can only answer general questions about legal issues or the law.

NRS 21.075 deals with notice of writ of execution, so I don't know how that would help you. If you are talking about filing bankruptcy that may help by eliminating the monthly payment you have been making. NRS 21 deals with enforcement of judgments. NRS 21.090 deals with property that is exempt from collection. That may be what they were refering to. But that would only help in connection with a bankruptcy.
