Can you ask the Court to have your teenagers interviewed to account for time they spent with each parent for the past year? Can the result of the interview be used on the custody trial?

If you are trying to show that you had the children more often then the other parent you would want to keep a calendar showing that you had the children more often and in an amount sufficient to justify a change of custody. Once you file the Motion for a Change of Custody, you can ask the court to have the children interviewed. With teenage children the court normally wants to interview them to find out where they want to live and why.
