Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

My sister is relocating to another state with her children. She went to court and is permitted to move but not until January with her kids. She needs to go to New Mexico now to secure employment and get situated. She has primary custody of her children and the father gets them on the weekends. Due to the father having domestic issues of which are documented she does not want to leave them in his care full time. If I am able I have agreed to take care of them until she returns. They attend school by my home. Is there a way to become a temporary legal guardian for the five days a week that she would have them
