Legal Question in Employment Law in Nevada

I work at a electrician/construction company, and I call every morning for my job site that day.... Well I started calling and being told I wasn't needed that day, a few days of the same thing go by and then they tell me to hang in there because they are Holding hours so they can be a 500,000 company on their taxes, another few days of the same response and then they say that they are starting a huge job in the next couple days and to hang in there..... Its been a month the now of no hours and no pay and continuously being told to wait till monday. Can they do this to employees???
