Legal Question in Personal Injury in Nevada

Disability scooter overturns at Las Vegas Casino

My husband was on a disability scooter driving down a sidewalk garden in Las vegas when a sprinkler system came on and the scooter slid to the side of the walk and overturned on him. We have pictures showing the injuries and a report made in person to the Head of security. We have witnesses. We retained a lawyer who said we had a good case, however, after 1 year the lawyer wrote and told us they would no longer take the case because my husband had some degeneration in the areas that were damaged in the accident and it would be hard to seperate the issues.I want to know if I can file a lawsuit myself in Las Vegas. I am in Baltimore but lack the funds to spend time on a wild goose chase going out there to find another lawyer. The statute, runs out on March 3, 2000. If I am going to file, I have to do it fast.He sustained a broken rib,a blood clot on his left leg, and others.I am ready to contact the hotel chain myself and.I am desparate. Please can you offer a solution tell them what happened and see what they offer.
