Duty to provide safe premises for invitees

Dear LG:

In a Negligence/Slip and fall

Case, P&A states that A DUTY

IS OWED to maintain the premises

in a reasonably safe condition for the use of invitees, and so on.

Can you tell me ''Where/What

actually established that DUTY?
