Legal Question in Personal Injury in Nevada

Hit and Run

Hello,

My mother was recently hit in her car by a driver in Las Vegas who fled the scene on foot, but left his vehicle, which is registered in CA, (he currently resides in Las Vegas). She sustained injuries and her car was totaled. The owner of the truck was found at home several days later by the police, and had filed a stolen vehicle report the same evening of the accident (which obviously could have been bogus). My mother saw the driver flee, but was unable to identify him in a photo lineup. What kind of recourse does she have now? At this point, she does not even know if the owner of the truck has auto insurance (my mother, unfortunately, did not have insurance, medical or auto). Because she cannot prove he was the driver, can she still be compensated for her injuries and loss of vehicle?

Re: Hit and Run

Normally she would retain a Florida attorney to coordinate a Los Vegas attorney to handle the case.

There are a number of things that can be done to pursue the drive and review of your own insurance.
